220415.
This vacation was probably one that was spent most meaningfully I guess.
I spent last year's in about the same pattern too, but company really do make all the difference in the year.
I worked, and went for camp in between.
I was barely home in the second month of vacation cause I was always working.
This camp, this empire, I made friends, friends that I want to keep.
And I guess I also lost a group that was one I held close to my heart.
It's quite sad I guess, but I guess that's how life works.
You gain some, you lose some.
Made so many friends in Laguz and I just want to remain friends with (most of) them as long as I can.
I am very different as a camper and as an orientation leader,
When I am a camper, I tend to turn into a follower.
I just gotta say, thanks for giving me a chance to prove myself.
People go like "I thought you siao on one, why you so quiet now (oltc)?"
(That happened during both OLTCs btw LOL)
And I'm just like ahh.
But if you see me during FMO and can I just say I think I did a good job??
LET ME BHB A LITTLE THANKS.
I didn't cue cheers in front of LT or entertain the whole LT (cause I'm too awkward as a person, I know should throw face all BUT I RLY TOO AWKWARD I'M SORRY), but I would like to think I (or rather, we (all 7 of us)) done well with our own sub-empire (LAGUZ B WOOHOOO) :-)))
Disclaimer: like, you may not see how I am in my sub-empire and probably think I do suck cause I don't lead the entire LT but whatever la I know what I did well in HAHAHAHAHAHA just had to add this sentence in)
Not having regatta will always be a thorn, and it's quite sad.
All the hard work, no where to show it during the year.
But still, IITDB won't die ;')
Worked at Changi Airport for the New Zealand event.
Also, Wei Shan introduced to me a job at MBS for a day event,
I learnt so much.
So much.
Again, met so many new people, made friends with them.
Some I am closer than the others with.
You can say it was two different group of people, the ones that started at the event from the beginning and the ones that joined after the event got extended.
I extended my contract, I questioned myself why the heck did I do that, and now all I can say is no regrets man.
I became friends with both groups, and I personally really enjoyed going to work, especially when such amazing people are there. I looked forward more to work than camp??
(FMO was a great tho!!)
I was stationed at the redemption booth most of the time, cause I like.
Met many different kinds of people (hello customer service)
A few problematic ones but it's fine.
I'm learning every time.
Some were people who had already gone through what I been through, and they advised me on how I should go on my life.
They provided me different insights on life and changed my perspective on things. (e.g. I didn't plan to go uni, but that changed after 3 people told me about their experiences)
I guess one thing is to talk to people.
Just make friends, or simply start a conversation.
You will learn so much, and receive different perspective on things, views that you haven't even considered before.
I can say I'm quite enlightened from people from both work and camp even though I still don't know what exactly I'm going to do after graduation (more or less a year more, one that will go past so quickly)
Everyone has their problems and it's just something different listening to them talk about themselves.
Half the time I'm talking though, complaining about stuff (DURING WORK SORRY FRIENDS HAHAHAHA)
Also, we started talking again.
It does make me happy.
:-)
OK messy thoughts messy posts but thankful me.
I'm like thankful and emotional and happy and sad all at the same time.
I'll edit this if I ever find the mood to, I would love to add photos but too lazy now I need to catch up on sleep
LIKE I went to work a full shift (12 hours, 11-11 standing up) the next day after camp where I got home at about 1??
Then the next day I went to training for dragon boat?? and then went retreat??
9am class on Monday??
SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP/????x??z?
