Ok start!
Because I told myself I'm 20 and I can't procrastinate (like how I did for my 19th, no blog post in sight after a year wow cool), here I am.
I'm rly tired btw like I took 2 hours to get home cause I overslept and missed my stop, but I continued the journey cause I was too tired. I also had to take 20 seconds to remember where the bus goes cause my brain wasn't functioning BUT THIS MUST HAPPEN. I MUST START (this was like 7th Nov LOL)
2nd Nov 1996, 20 years ago and now we're in 2016.
I don't know why, but birthdays has always been important to me.
Maybe cause it feels so far away in the year - even though everybody waits a year too, it just feels like I wait longer.
Or maybe it's cause I used to be some loser (and the fact that nov is the holidays), usually nobody celebrates my birthday, save for my family so now I just feel like it's a validation that people actually likes and bother with me??? If you get it???

Had family dinner today, cause apparently my bro had Japanese lessons until 9pm on Wed, my actual day.
Went to the usual zichar restaurant we have family dinners - I love.
Decent pricing for good food.

It's really the only day of the year I wake up early, willingly.
I woke up at 7am!!!
My mum wakes me up daily, cause I'm those kind you can put 10 alarms I won't hear a thing one, so everyday is a struggle for her haha.

I left house around the same time as I usually do tho - I was deciding what to wear

Crossed the road to the mrt, suddenly my left foot left very heavy.
Looked down, and this is what I saw.
Yup. I was just like. no. way. it's my birthday! why! why! why! out of all days!
I kind of dragged my feet to the mrt, hobbled up the stairs, then sat yeah.
I sent Marissa an image, and she literally went "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" yes great colleague amazing colleague best colleague ever.
Got a seat on the train, and then started trying to break off the other foot's heel because the entire left heel came off completely.
It was really hard trying to twist my foot and trying to 'loosen' it - if you get it.
I was fidgeting so much I think I annoyed the two people next to me and the dude in front of me.

Wanted to bend over slightly and tug at the heel but I would be like head-butting the dude's tummy in front of me.
Thank god I magically had a plastic bag in my bag!! so I stuffed all the heels in.
I wouldn't have knew what to do with the heels without the plastic, they are so chunky T___T
Could have just ended up with leaving the heels on the train man - kidding.
So back to my story.... the thin layer of sole between the top of the shoe and the heel/sole... came apart together with the heel.. yup. (see the second next pic if you need a visual)
So I walked with only my sock on my right feet, on wet floor cause it rained in the morning.

Managed to make it to the Smiles Dental area, Siang Long sent across a text in the group saying "Your day can only get better from here" and guess what happened 1 sec after? The left sole FLEW back. Like 2 steps behind me in front of all the other working adults trying to get to work.

Made it to office, laughing @ myself like how what why.
I had a towel in my cupboard - contingency planning for stupid things like this (actually supposed to be for that time I wanted to jog hahahahah clearly it didn't happen)
So I was like wiping my dirty feet then slipping into heels (that I almost died in at the end of the day cause it was super high, the ones I bought from Japan, but what to do)

/side story/ so I mentioned to my mum I will be heading out for dinner on 2nd, will come back to cut the cake with the fam And she was like "huh I was planning to do like a mini celebration, bro doesn't have to go for the class anymore" (he's changing to start on a separate day cause he don't think it's good juggling together with his upcoming internship)
And she was quite like sad about me going out la. And I'm like ...ok cause we already did dinner, thus I made plans. Told her last year I didn't make plans at all, and it turned out that there wasn't any dinner of sorts at home so I had dinner with Hannah whom I coincidentally met on the train.
And she got even more sad cause she feels bad she didn't do anything for me last year - she forgot that there wasn't any form of dinner etc. So I told her I would try to come back by 8 haha, since Lynn mentioned we could do a quick one. /end of side story/
So back to this! Dinner time with Lynn, Marissa and their other halves (I know... it's my day and I'm the lightbulb.....)
As we were going down to meet Lynn at the mrt, Marissa was like telling me that Mr Wong actually........ paid for....... half of my bkk trip with the team as a birthday present..... I knew he PAO her $$ but I didn't know for what - I didn't expect him to pay for half of my bkk trip!??!?!?!

Partly thanks to him I managed to get a GPA 4 that sem, cause he graded me well and I got a Pass with commendation for the Internship module :')
He's also the one who got me this job so like, he's really one of my 贵人, so many things to thank him for ;____;

Had team lunch with Gary, Glynis, Diana, Lynn, Marissa & Siang Long.
Haha, rejected my friend and Min + gang for this!!
Went to Bar on Chulia, and the food completely sucked.
Ordered their set lunch, seafood pasta, which included prawns on the menu yeah.
Came the food without prawns.
Asked about it - the dude said set lunch no prawns one.
Thanks bro, for telling me AFTER I got the food :)
The seafood wasn't even fresh... and the pumpkin soup was from a can.
I was just like okie. can.
The prices are ridiculous btw, the normal prices are all above $15, set lunch was $12.90 or $13.90, can't rly remember.
Just know that I'm not going back there for the food anymore.

Then... I rly looked at the make-up cause everybody was in this insane mode, trying everything on so I did play around.
Then I saw another type - it's a meat on the stick!! Nobody was taking it so I went (trying to act like I wasn't here only for the food), then it's damn crumbly - I picked it up and it fell right through the stick.
I was like errrr what do I do for 10s and the dude was like nvm just get another, it's ok.
And I'm like ok! /take and zao, quick./

Took mrt to dhoby, planning to take to clarke quay and cross ha.

I think jumped too much at the high songs - I died at about like 12:30
Like I was ready to like just crash.
Which is an irony cause I was thinking if it even possible for anybody to want to leave their room early cause the songs cannot sing finish one ma.
At that point of time I was like omg 30 more mins......... so long........

Min & Rae went on a little expedition around to find a washroom cause the KTV's place was damn yuck.
Finally went to a bar's.
HAHA, they even went to this inn (they climbed up the stairs, I stayed below), where there were only 3 guys there, and they were like ok nope then came back down the stairs.
Cabbed home with them, (they both stay north, I stay east but they still cabbed me home first, so touched).
Was a really great night - it was a birthday celebration for me!!
Haha, they paid for the k + food, 我又感动到.
While I knew it was probably a celebration but I didn't expect people to pay for me ah.

I don't know if I express it well enough for you all to see, but I really am very touched every single time anybody bothers to wish me/do something for me.
