It's 6:24am, couldn't sleep since waking up at 5:30am so I shall might as well do this.

TURNING 21 ON 2 NOVEMBER OMG.

but first...
The day is finally here! It's honestly the first full-scale party I ever threw - and I thought I was going insane with all the things needed to be thought of (and to spend money on 😭) e.g. Why need buy tablecloths!?!?!?!? BUT I HAD TO.

It really hit me on Tuesday I think - it was when I started to find it really hard to take full breaths for the entire week. I think the anxiety really crept up... I questioned so many things, like even who to invite. I didn't want anybody to feel obligated to come and/or get me a present just because I invited.

I really appreciate each and everyone of you making time on a SUNDAY - when you all have work/school the next day. I hope you all had great fun - apologies if I wasn't a great host - had so much anxiety!! BUT! I invited all the happening people so I'm sure you all entertained yourself pretty well (with the drinks and the games!!!!)

This all started from me booking 120 days ago, where I didn't manage to book a room on 28th Oct, so 29th Oct it was.

Shout out to my elder sis for opening up the access to this chalet for me, and subsequently paying for the entire room. Without the room booked, I honestly think I won't have continued on with this entire thing. It was probably the only push because at some point in time it got so overwhelming.

Family
Thank you my family for helping out, I really appreciate it 😭. They constantly went out of the way to make sure everything was in good order, and so willingly offered so much help 😭❤️

My dad and elder sis went to collect my food and cake, and went to buy extra food. I was supposed to Grab my sis over to where my dad was but after hanging up with my dad, I was distracted AND I FORGOT LOL. Until my dad called me and asked where's my sis HAHAHAHA. I was like oh shit. Glad that worked out in the end...

My mum for shifting a very important appointment away for me - trust me - it's more important than my 21st party. She nagged me about the drinks too - cause HAHAHA really, for the life of me, I can't imagine buying so much drinks (but you all proved me wrong my wonderful drinkers). She helped me buy the cornflakes and fruits etc too, and I'm so thankful. Thanks for collecting my redmart order too with 大姐，cause I was sleeping like a pig at 8:14am when the delivery happened.

My bro who acted as the camera man - even though sometimes the pictures end up blur cause he went to experiment too much with the settings 🙄👊🏻 I'll lend you the cam to hone your skills more

My younger sis who went to collect my cupcakes for me, came early (just happened to be the case 🤣🤣) and ended up helping out with the set-up. (She helped me to stick the jazel & #21ON0211 text on the wall)

Those who prevented me from procrastinating/gave me opinions
Thank you my lunch kakis (especially Glynis and becs) who constantly questioned me on how's my preparation going along, and then offering so much advice/dissuading me from doing stupid things like ordering only 6 bottles of drinks (cause I don't drink soft drinks and I can't imagine why should I buy more, cause I keep thinking no one will drink). Without their constant asking, I probably would have procrastinated right till the end.

Thank you Wen Jing for having 2 hour whatsapp conversations with me on what Color balloons I should buy etc - it was fantastic help that was so comforting 😭❤️

Those that came early
Thank you Rah, Ryan, Siang & Tiffy who came down to help me set up.

I asked rah for help, then she offered Ryan's assistance too HAHAHA - package deal.  You were extremely helpful in keeping me sane, cause I kept panicking but you helped me clear all the stuff and made space for items, and map out what was required of me to do (or ask people to do) HAHA. When I was panicking she kept reassuring me that it's all under control, and it's not a complete disaster.  Thank you Ryan who, along the way, discussed party plans etc with me, since he's throwing his next Saturday (and rah's on Sunday. You offered so much help and engineering brain - THANKS FOR FIXING THE HELIUM. It was good that I had you to bounce ideas of with. Thank you for getting the huge balloons for me too - I won't have went ahead and bought if not for you two offering to order for me. Without it, it would have been very different!!

Siang, for coming early to be a helper. I was like "oh you coming early to help me" one fine random day and he's like HUH, but he agreed anyway. Requested for GrabCar premium as his transport here - basket!!! But in the end he settled for a JustGrab (don't have a choice actually) cause dk why he run to Ion then the prices are like $40 oh my god!!! Tiffy, his buddy who came along with him - dodgy sia you two go ion tgt 👀👀👀👀👀👀 HAHA. Thanks for helping me out - didn't want you to at first when you all mentioned cause you should just appear as a guest and chill etc but thank you thank you thank you for helping out so much!!!

Valerie showed up early (5:30?) and ended up being an extra (needed) pair of hands. Thanks for washing all the fruits for me and helping me build the fruit cup - of which I don't think would have been done if you didn't offer. Thank you, I'm sure you enjoyed the company 😛

Min and Shu, you all showed up early and ended up pestering me to put on makeup. You all are the bomb diggity!!! Shu drew my eyeliner (that was on fleek) and Min EXPERIMENTED on me her eyebrows drawing skills - which turned out rly nicely 😻 Thanks Min for lending me the lipstick and Shushu for drawing it on for me!!! They then blew my hair and Min braided my fringe 😻

Junpei, Willy, thanks for printing my invitation card for me. Seriously, without you two, I won't have been able to be so extra as if it's my wedding like that HAHAHA. It was so chio la omg.

Helium and Balloon stickers
Praashant, thanks for vectorizing (or rather, getting your designer to help me) my artwork done in PowerPoint HAHA.

Thank you for getting me the helium tank too. I was panicking about how expensive Helium tanks were and thinking to just go without it during supper one night, then you offered to just get me it.

The balloon stickers turned out to be perfect too, I MANAGED TO STICK IT!!!!!! It's rly damn chio - thank you.

I hope you drank enough of my thank you drinks :')

Food
Thanks becs for hooking me up with caterer Friend and helping me to negotiate an extremely good price!!! The food was delicious - appreciate all the advice you gave on the food to order + the no. of pax to order for!

Cake
Glynis baby, thanks for linking me to your Friend - even though you were worried i terrorize her too much (I said I sent a long email on questions/requests on the shade of color etc then she was like omg can she read (cause she worried I sot in the email)) HAHAHA. All because of you, I got a good price on the cake I envisioned that tasted really good too. I know sometimes you also chuan cause I keep changing my mind. Thanks for keeping me grounded and not doing stupid things for my cake!!

Cake Topper
Thank you Amanda for hooking me up with your Best Friend who happen to running this (guys - go check out @circussg for dropdead gorgeous cake toppers). Thanks for collecting the topper from your Friend for me then couriering it over for me cause you had to send me something (and using a folder as an envelope cause you couldn't find one in the right size!) I see the effort 😭😘

Highlights

1. I went to wash and blow my hair but I forgot that I did... So when I got to the chalet to set up, first thing I did was to bun my hair HAHA.
2. Hoi texted me in the morning and asked if "can u bring my Husband?" I just woke up 5 mins before I read that message and I'm like HUH GO WHERE FIND HER HUSBAND SIA then I realized it was a typo on her end HAHA.
3. Marissa Tang licked my feet MUAHAHAHAHA. cause glynis asked me to drink a vodka shot the moment I opened the door, which I didn't want to CAUSE PARTY HAVEN'T EVEN START I CANNOT TOH. Mtang saw my unwillingness and said the golden sentence "if you down, I lick your feet" OF COURSE I WENT AHEAD LA.
4. My alcoholic colleagues met my alcoholic classmates. HAHA FREAKING JOKE LA GUYS omg I have never seen Tan Siang Long's hair stand until like that before HAHA

Thanks for dealing with this E, Is. Things would have been very different now, if the bozos didn't exist. So many things stemmed from being part of the bozos, of which I am so thankful for.
